Ocean Tree Dive School – Amazing Day Snorkeling in Amed!My 7-year-old daughter and I had the best time ever snorkeling with Ocean Tree Bali - Diving in Amed. From the moment we walked into their shop, Tommy and the team made us feel so welcome and completely at ease.A huge thanks to Tommy, who was absolutely amazing with my daughter. He guided us around the reef in Jemeluk Bay and made sure she felt safe and confident the whole time. As soon as we stepped into the water, we were surrounded by fish, my daughter was over the moon! She couldn’t stop pointing things out and was having so much fun. She absolutely loved the fact she did not need to get in a boat to get to the reef and see the fish.She hasn’t stopped talking about it since and keeps asking when we can go back. It really was the highlight of our trip! Thank you, Ocean Tree, for making it such a special experience. If you’re in Amed, I can’t recommend them enough especially for families, first-time snorkelers or people who want to snorkel with out a boat journey!

I went fun diving with Ocean Tree Bali for two days. The sites in Amed and Tulamben are beautiful places to dive in to. Ocean Tree is situated in the middle of the Amed sites so its easy to do a shore dive and see beautiful corals and sea life.The divemaster ( Ketuk) was a wonderful guy. He sets up a good briefing which includes a plan and back up plan.Ocean Tree offers an all inclusive package which includes transport, lunch, equipment and drinks. It also holds a high safety standard.Bonus: During the dives they make awesome GoPro footage which you receive for free at the end of the dives.In general, there are cheaper options in Amed, but its worth to pay a little extra to join Ocean tree to enjoy the extra options. After all, diving in Amed is already very cheap compared with other places ;).

We were a group of fairly inexperienced divers with 2 of us doing the fun dives (open water certified), 2 doing the try scuba & 1 person snorkeling. From booking the dives through to briefing and the dives Ivan, Ketut and the whole team were very patient, friendly and flexible.Both dive spots in Jemeluk bay and the liberty wreck in Tulamben were beautiful with a large variety of marine life.Thank you very much for this amazing experience, I cannot wait to go back again.

Great welcome, reasonable equipment, great area, blue starfish spotted 😇. It's definitely worth going snorkeling. I'd love to come back. Personally, I recommend a long sleeve rash guard. The sun “burns” extremely!

Nothing but love for these guys! Excellent dive school with high standards for safety and service.Had a 2 day/4 dive package and Ketut showed me around and helped finding all the cool critters. I think I've never experienced a more proper dive briefing on any of my (many) dives in Indonesia.Even if you've been diving with them before, they go through all the steps to make sure they never miss one.Highly recommend this place, keep up the good work guys!Terima kasih 🙏🏼

Ocean Tree Bali is simply the best dive centre in Amed, if not in Bali. Their staff are incredible in terms of customer service and safety.Also to note, is their rental equipment is in great shape.

Amazing experience with Ocean Tree from the moment I arrived at the shop. I was welcomed with open arms - the four dives were amazing with a great atmosphere in the shop and at the dive sites. Ivan, Ketut and Kadek, the owners were so helpful and instilled so much confidence ahead of the dives.The diving itself was so beautiful and relaxed with Ketut as our guide who was extremely chilled in the water.Cannot recommend these guys enough - extremely professional and hard working.

Amazing dive shop! Kadek and the whole team were incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. My friend and I did our SSI Open Water Diver course here, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The instructors made sure we always felt safe and comfortable, especially during our dive to a stunning shipwreck – truly unforgettable!The shop’s attention to detail is impressive, from the use of reusable water bottles to providing delicious vegetarian food for lunch and pick up and drop off at our accomodation. We even got some great GoPro photos to remember our dives! They clearly care about the environment and creating an awesome experience. Highly recommend this place for both beginner and experienced divers!

I had the most fantastic experience with Ocean Tree Bali. I got the discovery experience, and I was very nervous at the beginning. I almost even quit the whole thing at the beginning, as I was so anxious. And Joseph was so patient and kind explaining everything and practicing over and over, "one more try, one more", and before I realized, I was diving!I have never seen so many kinds of fishes and corals, it was such a special experienceI am so grateful to the team, for their professionalism and their kindness. Any diving centre will get you inside the water but what makes Ocean Tree stands out is the quality, patience and professionalism of the instructors. I did the open water and advance adventurer here and had Kadek and Indra as instructors, both of them very knowledgeable, fun and passionate divers. Whether you dive along the nearby underwater wall or at Tulamben you are always in safe hands. I came here as a stranger and left as family. I cannot recommend highly enough Ocean Tree Bali!

I went to Ocean Tree Bali during my vacation to pass the “open water” certification.We were received by Ivan. He is very kind and attentive to our needs.Our instructor was Kadek, he is super educational and reassuring which is ideal for beginners. I thank him for accompanying me in each step of this teaching.We also had a typical Balinese meal and a snack (fruit + drink) between each dive.Hotel transport to the diving center was also provided by the team.Really go there with your eyes closed, Kadek is an awesome instructor for beginners and the team is amazing.Thanks again 😊

Fantastic dive shop! Ivan, Kedek, Ketut, and the whole team are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the diving is safe, fun, and beautiful - they made sure I had amazing dives. I had an incredible first-time diving experience with Ocean Tree in Amed, thanks to the amazing staff who made me feel like family from the start. Their small group approach was perfect for beginners, ensuring I felt comfortable and safe throughout. When I had an issue with my ear, Ivan, the owner, personally took me to the clinic and stayed with me until I was cleared. Such a caring and dedicated team—I wish I didn’t have to leave! Dive with these guys for 5 days and loved every moment of it. Communication was clear from the get go on WhatsApp and my questions were all answered patiently. A cup of coffee/tea and fresh bottle of water in the morning was a nice gesture. Lunch provided by the restaurant was something I always look forward to after the morning dives. I dived with 4 different instructors, felt safe and taken care of in every single one of my dives.Will always choose this place in the future when I return and if you're considering them, don't hesitate. Thanks to the whole team for making my vacation in Amed such an unforgettable one. Definitely will come back again next time 🙂

Nice dive school and amazing dive sites!We always dove in very small group (max 3 ppl + instructor). We dove for 4 days and didn't have to dive twice the same site because they were very flexible arranging the program to our wishes.

If you are looking for the best dive shop in Amed, stop looking, you found it.Ivan is the person you need to organize your vacation, from airport transfer to entertainment, he satisfied all our needs.The dive team is very dedicated and professional, especially Kadek the main diving instructor and dive master Tubuh for macro diving. Wreck diving, boat diving, shore diving,… they can organize it all.Also the warung attached to the dive center is a must try and very convenient after diving.

Our experience with Ocean Tree Bali was just amazing. I did my PADI Open Water certificate there while my boyfriend, who already had the certificate, could do a refresher and join in on the last day for two more fun dives. So it was our instructor Kadek and only the two of us on all of our dives. Kadek did an amazing job teaching me about diving and we always felt incredibly safe. Thank you for everything!

We booked the „Try Scuba“ Package for a following day on Whatsapp - that was really easy. The whole team was very welcoming and kind and we had a friendly Instructor, whose English was very good and clear. He always made sure that we understand all of his important three skills (clear the regulator, recover the regulator, clean the glasses). We practiced it in shallow water, before going on our first dive. We always felt safe, because he checked in and helped us. After the second dive in Tulamben we had a nice Lunch. Great dive center!

I have just returned home after traveling to Bali with the Tasmanian Scuba Diving Club and diving Amed with Ocean Tree. Everything about this trip was exceptional, in no small part thanks to Ivan and his amazing team. They truly pulled out all the stops to ensure every part of our trip, diving and entertainment, was memorable. Every day we were picked up and transported to our dive site, all of our gear was organised and ready to go and a delicious healthy lunch was provided. If we so much as mentioned we needed or wanted something, it would be organised by the guys (thanks for the Liberty tshirts Kadek).As expected the diving in Amed was brilliant, but it was greatly enhanced by the diligence and knowledge of the Ocean Tree guides. For me personally as a novice diver Kadek and Ketut kept a very close eye on me to ensure my safety and enjoyment, and most importantly provided instruction which saw my buoyancy control and air consumption improve greatly.I feel incredibly lucky that I had the opportunity to participate in this trip and CANNOT wait to return and dive with Ocean Tree again. I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking to get the most out of their dive trip to Amed.

I've just returned from an incredible 10-day diving trip to Amed, Bali with Ocean Tree Bali. I wasn't involved with the pre-trip organisation, but apparently Ivan and the team were incredible to deal with, and helped organise so much more than just the diving.During the course of the week Ivan, Kadek and the whole team were friendly, knowledgeable, relaxed and very patient (even when I didn't check my BCD properly and left my weight pockets back on shore during a boat dive - oops).There was an opportunity for me to complete my PADI Deep qualification on our day off, and this was handled smoothly, efficiently, and at a very reasonable price. The relaxed but thorough and detailed training by @instructor_kadek was greatly appreciated.All the Ocean Tree guides and team welcomed us, and our group welcomed them. By the time of our final night dinner (also organised by Ocean Tree), we all partied together on the beach!If I ever return to Amed to dive (and I really hope that I do), I'll certainly be diving with Ocean Tree Bali.

The Tasmanian Scuba Diving Club have just done a 10 day trip to Amed to dive and snorkel with Ocean Tree. Outstanding service from Ivan, Kadek and the whole team of guides and support staff. Was blown away by how accommodating, flexible, fun and safe the whole thing was. They organised transport, lunches, diving, snorkeling tours, nitrox, gear hire as required and the list goes on. Really good SSI diving center. The people are super friendly and they only have true local guides that know the dive sites like no other. They make you feel truly at home!Lunch is also included with the dives which is really nice when you just come back after a dive.My favorite dive witht them was the US Liberty Wreck dive. They also regularly brought a Gopro with us free of charge to take some awesome photo’s and videos!

No diving at their place but rental of snorkeling equipment on several occasions. Good quality and in good condition, I was able to select what I wanted, and the welcome was great! Really cheap (50k/person for the full day), access to changing rooms and showers. I recommend, especially since it's 30m from a great spot!

There is nothing beyond words that can describe my feelings for Ocean Tree. This is my first time visiting Amed, and of course it is also my first time diving with Ocean Tree. Ocean Tree is like family. I felt so welcomed by the team and their warmth made you feel like home throughout my 12 dives with them. Already looking forward to diving with Ocean Tree family again!!! Ocean Tree Bali is the best diving shop in Amed. I started off terrified at the idea of diving but the team made me feel so welcomed and safe that I ended up getting my open water diving certification! I cannot thank everyone enough for their patience, guidance, and kindness. Everyone in the staff is always there to answer your questions, make sure you have complimentary tea or coffee, a towel in hand and they even prepare your equipment to make sure that their customers concentrate on having fun! Such authentic and kind hearted people, I cannot recommend ocean tree enough. My partner and I will definetly be coming back to Bali because of Ocean Tree, the amazing sport they made us discover and to see the amazing friends we’ve made through this experience #divenowworklater

Ocean Tree is one of the best dive centres I've been to! I did 8 dives, including a night dive, and all were fantastic experiences. The team are so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and bring such a positive atmosphere. My dive guide, Ketut, was superb and had a great feel for each dive site. Just one example of how helpful the team are - they let me borrow some photography equipment for the night dive to get the best shots. Dives are priced competitively, and the shop is in a perfect location to walk straight out into the water into some one of Amed's best dive sites. The restaurant is also fantastic!Overall, I would highly recommend Ocean Tree to both beginner and experienced divers. Ivan and the team made it a special experience from start to finish!

I’m so glad I came across Ocean Tree Bali whilst staying in Amed. For someone who is actually not the strongest swimmer and a little bit afraid of open water, I think I still am in a bit of disbelief that I am willing to scuba dive upto 18m deep in the ocean. My first point of contact at Ocean Tree was Ivan who is a warm and kind Irish man. He is professional and he was very informative about scuba diving. He explained everything scuba and by the end of our conversation I left knowing that I wanted to try scuba and that I would be in safe hands. I confirmed soon after and I was booked in for my try scuba session 9:00am next morning.My first session was with Dive Master Ketut. He was professional, warm, and when under water, he was so very patient and kind. My first dive off Jemeluk Bay was sensational (for me anyway as someone who had never seen coral and fish in this way). This is a beautiful spot for learning how to dive. After the dive, I was confident that I wanted to go ahead and enrol for my open water cert.My second session, and the rest of my dives for open water certification was with Dive Instructor Kadek and I cannot recommend this man enough. He is a great teacher and he certainly knows what he is doing. He has more than a decade of experience under his belt, and rest assured, he will take care of you. It was really easy learning from him and I am grateful that he was my instructor. Since receiving my open water course, I have tried out diving at a few other dive centres but no one really matched Kadek’s level of experience, nor his attitude.The team in general is really kind and lovely (thank you Sara for your encouragement!).The equipment is also in good condition, and the fun dive prices and open water cert prices are very fair too. If you are thinking of trying scuba, can’t go wrong with Ocean Tree. 🙂

Excellent experience while taking my PADI open water course with Ocean Tree. Kadek, my instructor is a true professional and a great guy! He explains and demonstrates concepts in perfect detail and emphasizes safety above all else. Price of my course was more than fair, and Ocean Tree offers lunch and refreshments during your course days.Ocean tree also offers a hostel/dormitory, so you can sleep on site. Price is fair and includes breakfast. Laundry and transport facilities also available.Restaurant is also high quality and affordable.Ocean Tree Instructors offer both PADI and SSI courses. Very good dive center on Jemeluk Beach. We had great macro dives in Tulamben dive sites. We had two differerent guides and both were very good in finding smallest nudibranchs and everything. They also rent tanks for experienced divers and it is just few steps from the center to Jemeluk Bay and Wall dive sites. Nitrox is also available and prices are reasonable. I would definately dive with Ocean Tree Bali again.

If you're considering diving with Oceantree, I highly recommend it! I completed my PADI open water course there and had a fantastic experience. Kadek was an excellent instructor, living up to the positive reviews I had read. He was calm in the water and made lessons enjoyable with his quick smile. After feeling unwell during my first dive, Kadek and a female staff member ensured I was okay, which I truly appreciated. Their care and attention gave me the confidence to continue the course and earn my certification. A big thank you to the wonderful team at Oceantree!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the most incredible scuba diving experience with Ocean Tree Scuba Diving Service in Amed. From start to finish, their team ensured my first-time dive was nothing short of amazing. The instructors were highly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, making me feel completely at ease underwater. The equipment provided was top-notch, and safety was clearly their priority. First diving experience. I have to say that, although I can swim, I was apprehensive at trying diving. I have tried snorkelling but only one time. I had prepared myself as best I could but when in the wet suit with all the gear on I did get a bit overwhelmed. If it hadn't been for the patience and expertise of my instructor I may have panicked and given up. Thankfully I didn't give up as with practice and guidance I finally got my breathing right and did perform a dive, to 4 metres. I will take diving further now I am more accustomed. I really couldn't have done it with my instructors help. Thankyou for being calm and professional throughout it has been a fantastic experience.

Rocked up at 10am & they still planned a 3 dive day/night for me. Very supportive dive centre, the crew are very professional, helpful and friendly. If you are qualified like me, just chat with the staff and tell them what you want to see, the dives can be tailored accordingly. Best of all, 3 dives in & you're already looking at a discount package. 😉Great for back packers / buget tours too. They have nice new bunk room with air-conditioning, electrical points on each bunk, a fan to keep the mozzies away and best of all, very comfortable beds! The B&B was only 100k Rupiah when I stayed - bargain! By the way, thanks for all the coffee Ivan 😁👌

We had the absolute pleasure of diving at Ocean Tree. Myself and my friend did our Open Water course, with me never having dived before. Kadek was a super instructor and was always calm and collected (even when I was a little worried at the start). By the end of the course we were super confident, got to see amazing sea life and even managed a night time dive (highly reccomend!!)Ivan is the heart & soul of the place and it would not be the same without him so thank you for your hospitality and endless jokes. There is always a bit of craic at this dive centre.The rest of the team are also super friendly, helpful and welcoming.Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely be back again

Ivan the co-owner was very hospitable and helpful. Ketu, the other owner, took my kids, 11 & 14, on 2 dives, he was thorough and kind. They had a great time and saw 5 turtles on one dive. Provided us with a Go Pro free of charge, we got some great photos. Recommended!

Did my PADI Open Water Course with Ocean Tree Bali and it was great!! My Instructor Kadek was really calm, and had a good sense of humor. The crew was really friendly and you felt part of a family. Amazing experience with Ocean Tree Bali!This was my first time diving and I felt completely safe the whole time. Doddy showed me the ropes and built up my confidence with a first time dive around Jemeluk bay. Then Tu took my out on a 2nd dive around the liberty cargo ship which was an experience I will never forget!Thank you so much to Doddy, Tu and Ivan for making my time with Ocean Tree Bali so enjoyable and easy! Great place to go diving. The staff are all very friendly and engaging - many of them having a keen interest in underwater photography, meaning that they're very passionate about what they do and they have very keen eyes under the water and love sharing what they find/shoot with you.They offered the usual tea/coffee/biscuits between dives as everywhere else, they also included lunch and did so at a very competitive price. They even use refillable water bottles unlike single use plastic, which was great to see. Equipment top notch, group size was great (they catered for just me and a guide).Thanks to everyone there.

I did my Open Water Certificate with Ocean Tree and cannot recommend it enough. The dive sites are beautiful and perfect for beginners. But the best thing is for sure the amazing staff!!

He is such a professional, I felt very safe all the time and well prepared for my following divings. Also the diving spots around here in Amed are ashtonishing and I loved it. Our (me and my partner) experience at Ocean Tree Bali Diving was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staffs who made us feel at ease.The facility itself was well-organized, with all of the necessary equipment readily available. Komang, our dive instructor, took the time to ensure that my gear was properly fitted and they patiently answered all of our questions.The dive instructors (Komang and Ivan) were incredibly experienced and skilled. They provided thorough safety briefings before each dive and were attentive and helpful throughout the entire experience. They were also very knowledgeable about the marine life in the area and pointed out various species during our dives.The dive sites were stunning and the visibility was excellent, allowing me to fully appreciate the underwater ecosystem, although i have fear of ocean vastness. I was also impressed with the variety of dive sites available, catering to both beginners and experienced divers.The dive centre had a strong emphasis on safety, which was reassuring. They had strict protocols in place and both Komang and Ivan ensured that all divers followed these guidelines. I appreciated the focus on preserving the marine environment, as the dive centre actively participated in reef conservation efforts.Overall, our experience at Ocean Tree Bali Diving Centre exceeded my expectations. The staff, instructors, and dive sites were all exceptional. I highly recommend this dive centre to both experienced divers and those looking to try diving for the first time. It's a great place to learn, explore, and conquer my fear. Did I mention the delightful, mouth watering food that they have served us after our dive? The diving centre also have the best restaurant in Amed, Warung Made.

This is the best diving institute I have ever come across in my experience. I have the certification of advanced open water. I was so happy and satisfied with the instructor and the team they have. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patience and supportive. I had three dives with them. The liberty ship wreck, drop off and one Amed dive.I have gone in to many Divining schools, many of them go in bigger groups some even take 5 divers and just one instructor. For me I found this very unreasonable. As soon as I spoke to the Ivan he assured me that all my dives I will be on a smaller group of 2 with one instructor. As he has promised the group remained the same size.This is the only institute in Bali using recycling bottles instead of one time use plastic bottles. The freshly prepared food they provided was unbelievable.I can't wait to go back diving with them again.I had a wonderful experience. Next time I'm bringing my family to learn diving 🤿😀😁🤗

They organise dives according to your needs and desires.Kadek, an experienced and patient instructor, took me from an open water certification to leaving the dive center as a Dive Master through a fun and educational path.The prices are competitive and fair, with lunch, water, and coffee included. The equipment is new and always well-maintained.From a human perspective, there is no better school. The entire staff welcomes you with a smile in the morning, and everyone is always very helpful and friendly!Absolutely recommended for all levels, whether you just want to try scuba diving, go for fun dives, or start a professional path.

Great diving school! While many diving schools simply offer the standard program, here you feel like your wishes have been taken into account. We felt safe during the dives and saw lots of things that we would have safely swum past without our guide Ketut. A great experience that we can recommend to anyone who is on vacation in Amed 👍

Came along for some fun dives on the USS Liberty and the Coral wall 'drop off' . Had a great set of dives and we were well looked after by the team at Ocean Tree. We were fed, watered, given kit and transported all day so was just a case of turning up and going diving ! Very reasonably priced as well. Thanks team.

Ocean Tree guys are the best in Bali! Ivan did the best to provide us with a personalized fantastic dives and helped us with even small details, while Kadek and Komang were our dive masters and we can say they are truly professionals. With them you will feel safe and well cared, besides they are both local so they deeply know all the dive spots and differences between seasons. This is what we valued the most, diving with truly local experts, not foreigners who are just in Bali for the season and don't really know the spots whole year or currents. We saw lots of interesting things, and all dives we did with them were great. Equipment is also in perfect condition, everything new. You will see they really take care of the stuff at the smallest detail. Top dive center.

What a gem of a place! Dive masters are really professional and the equipment is excellent, but they are also really flexible in making plans to suit you, and there’s a relaxed vibe. I booked a fishing trip and was very satisfied! We went out to sea at 4:30 am and were back at 11:00 am. We caught tuna and mahi-mahi. The local fisherman was very nice and explained everything in detail. I took 2 fish with me and prepared them myself in the restaurant at the diving school (for a small tip). I would book the fishing trip again at any time.

Did a refresher dive after ten years of not diving and damn, Ocean Tree has honestly made me fall in love with diving all over. Their staff know what they’re doing and had excellent safety protocols, as well as showing us a bunch of cool stuff (so many turtles!). I loved that all the instructors were Balinese and from Amed, so they really knew the area and cared about the sea life. I had such a great time that I ended up doing three more dives with them - I was the only person for one of them and they still took me out as a private dive for the same cost (Thank you Ari and Kadek!). They also feed you a lovely meal afterwards. Highly recommend this friendly local dive joint!

What an experience! Me and my partner did 6 dives with Ocean Tree and each time was so fun, the staff are legitimately the best and friendliest people you will ever meet. Our dive guide Nyoman was fun and so engaging, he made sure to go the extra mile for us. The dive organisers Ivan is the most helpful and kind person you could ever ask to meet. If you are interested in diving in Bali this is the only company you should be looking at.
